Vaam

Vaam vs Instantly

Most people arrive here with one question: how much of the outbound budget should buy volume, and how much should buy personalization. Both tools ship AI agents that find prospects and then send to them. They source from different places and stop at different points. Instantly's AI Sales Agent picks leads that match your ICP out of a 450M+ B2B database and emails them, on top of a platform built for cold email at volume: unlimited mailboxes, unlimited warm-up and dedicated sending infrastructure. Our agents work from live LinkedIn activity, and the LinkedIn, email and per-prospect video steps run as one sequence that syncs to your CRM. We run our own outreach on Vaam, and we do not run it at Instantly's volume, so this page says plainly where Instantly wins. The choice is whether to reach more people or say more to each person.

Short answer

Both tools find prospects for you. The difference is where they look and how far they go. Our agents source from live LinkedIn posts and people searches, enrich every profile, judge it against the audience you defined, and enroll the matches into a sequence that runs LinkedIn, email and per-prospect video on its own. A prospect's reply pauses the sequence for a person. Instantly's AI Sales Agent sources from a 450M+ static database and sends email, and its own documentation describes booking meetings and an Autopilot mode that approves its own activity. Pick Instantly if your plan is to send a lot of cold email from a lot of mailboxes and deliverability is the constraint you are solving for. Pick Vaam if the constraint is reply quality, LinkedIn is a real channel, and you want a person to own every conversation. Two further facts separate them cleanly. Instantly's help centre documents LinkedIn only as a contact record and a "Connect" button that opens the prospect's profile, not as an automated channel. And Instantly's privacy policy says it generally stores service information in the United States, while we store all customer data in the European Union.

Top pick: Vaam Best for Agent-sourced LinkedIn, email and video outreach with a human on the replies

Pick Vaam if

  • You want the tool to find and qualify prospects continuously from live LinkedIn activity, not just from a static lead database.
  • You want AI to do the sourcing and the sending, and a human to own every reply.
  • LinkedIn is a real channel for you, not a field on a contact record.
  • You want video personalized for each prospect included in the plan rather than bought as a second tool.
  • You want two-way CRM sync to HubSpot, Pipedrive or Upsales without a third-party connector.
  • Your security review needs customer data to stay inside the European Union.

Pick Instantly if

  • You want an agent that works a large static B2B database, and you are comfortable letting it run on Autopilot.
  • Cold email volume is the motion, and you need thousands of sends a month from many mailboxes.
  • Deliverability is the problem you are paying to fix, meaning warm-up, inbox placement testing and dedicated IP blocks.
  • You want a lead database, enrichment and verification inside the same product instead of buying lists.
  • You have several people on the team and prefer one workspace price to a per-user price.
  • You want the headline entry price. Instantly's Outreach plan starts at $47 per month.

Feature comparison

Where Vaam and Instantly overlap, and where they do not.

Feature support by product
Feature Vaam Instantly
Agent-sourced prospecting The tool finds and qualifies new prospects itself, instead of only running a list you built elsewhere. Yes Agents source from LinkedIn posts and people searches, enrich each profile, and check it against the audience you defined before enrollment. With no audience configured, they run without that check. Partial The AI Sales Agent discovers and enriches new leads against the customer profile you configure, within a daily limit you set. Its help article does not document a live external source for the agent; Instantly's documented lead sourcing is its 450M+ B2B database.
Autonomous sequence execution Sourced prospects enter a multi-step sequence and every step sends on schedule without a person triggering it. Yes LinkedIn, email and per-prospect video steps send automatically, with randomized human-like pacing and a 400 active-prospect cap on LinkedIn sequences. Yes The AI Sales Agent creates multi-step outreach campaigns and sends them, and ordinary campaigns send on their own schedule. Email is the only automated channel.
Human control points Named places where a person can approve or halt the automation, such as approving prospects before outreach and replies that stop the sequence. Yes Require approval holds each prospect for your decision, and a prospect's reply pauses the sequence and becomes a task for the seller. Yes Outside Autopilot mode, the AI Sales Agent needs manual approval in the Live Feed before it finds more leads or sends anything, and the campaign option "Stop sending emails on reply" pauses follow-ups to a lead who replies. In Autopilot mode the agent approves its own activity.
Email sequences Multi-step automated email campaigns. Yes Basic sequences, included in the plan. Yes Advanced sequences, scheduling and A/Z testing on every Outreach plan.
Cold email at high volume Sending tens of thousands of emails a month. No Vaam's own documentation says it is not built for high-volume email blasting and that a dedicated tool fits better above a few hundred sends a day. Yes 5,000 to 500,000 emails a month by plan, from unlimited mailboxes.
LinkedIn automation Connection requests and message steps inside the same sequence. Yes Included, with pacing spread across the week. Partial Instantly's CRM lists LinkedIn connections among the things it manages, but the documented action is a "Connect" button that opens the prospect's LinkedIn profile. No automated LinkedIn sending is documented.
Video in outreach Sending a video as part of the sequence. Yes Built-in recording, delivered through LinkedIn and email with tracking. Not documented Instantly's pricing page, product menu and help centre do not document a video feature.
Video personalized per lead A different video, or video page, generated for each prospect. Yes Record once and personalize per prospect; up to 400 videos / month. Not documented Not documented.
Email warm-up and deliverability infrastructure No Vaam sends from your own Gmail or Microsoft 365 inbox and publishes no warm-up product, inbox-placement testing or dedicated IPs. Yes Unlimited warm-up on every Outreach plan, plus inbox placement testing and dedicated server and IP blocks (SISR) on the Outreach Light Speed tier and the Agency bundle.
Built-in lead database No No database of its own. Agents source prospects from LinkedIn posts and people searches, or you import your own list. Yes 450M+ B2B leads with waterfall work-email enrichment, sold as credits.
Contact enrichment Partial Up to 400 email enrichments / month. Yes Enrichment, verification and AI research run on the Instantly Credits plan.
Native CRM sync Yes HubSpot, Pipedrive and Upsales, included in the plan; two-way sync of contacts, activities and blocklists. Partial The help centre documents first-party HubSpot and Pipedrive integrations, including in Automations, plus Zapier, webhooks and an API. Salesforce is different: logging Instantly activity into Salesforce is documented via OutboundSync, a third-party connector.
AI-written and AI-personalized outreach Yes AI personalization is auto-generated with no setup. Yes AI Sales Agent, AI Reply Agent and an AI email writer, run on credits.
SMS steps No Partial SMS is sent from the CRM module and needs a purchased phone number; it is not documented as a campaign sequence step.
Calling Partial Call steps run as tasks. There is no in-app dialer. Partial Calls are made from the CRM module and need a purchased phone number.
EU data residency Yes All customer data is stored within the European Union. No Instantly's privacy policy says information you provide will likely be processed and maintained in web servers and internal systems located within the United States, and that it generally stores service information there. EU transfers rely on mechanisms such as Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
Pricing model Partial Per user per month in EUR; cost grows with headcount. Partial Per workspace in USD, driven by email and contact volume; modules are bought separately.

Vaam pricing

Prices are in EUR, per user per month, billed monthly, with no lock-in. Annual agreements are available on request, without a published price. There is one plan for everyone, so a team of five needs five seats. Each LinkedIn account is one seat. Vaam is priced per user and Instantly per workspace, so the two only compare at a given team size. Work out your own total before deciding.

Instantly pricing

Prices are in USD as published on Instantly's pricing page, per workspace rather than per user. Instantly sells modules: Email Outreach, Instantly Credits (lead database, enrichment, AI agents), CRM, Inbox Placement and done-for-you services are separate plans, and the Bundle tiers combine outreach and credits. The plans below are the Outreach tier and the Bundles. The "longer term" column is the yearly-commitment price. The other modules are priced separately (the help centre lists Growth CRM at $47/month and Hyper CRM at $97/month, and Inbox Placement at $47 and $97 a month), and Instantly does not publish a per-seat charge on any module.

Pros and cons

Vaam

A sales outreach automation platform whose agents find prospects on LinkedIn, check them against your audience and enroll the matches into a sequence of LinkedIn, email and per-prospect video steps.

Best for Agent-sourced LinkedIn, email and video outreach with a human on the replies

Pros

  • The agents find and qualify prospects on their own. They source from LinkedIn posts and people searches, enrich each profile, and check it against the audience you defined before anyone is contacted. If you configure no audience, they run without the matching step.
  • Sourcing, qualification and outreach sit in one product, so there is no export and re-import between building a list and running it.
  • You choose how much rope to give the agent. Turn on Require approval to vet every prospect yourself, or leave it off and let the agent enroll the matches.
  • LinkedIn automation is a real channel, not a link to a profile.
  • Video is personalized per prospect and comes with the plan, not as a second tool you pay for.
  • Native two-way CRM sync for contacts, activities and blocklists.
  • All customer data is stored within the European Union.
  • Email goes out from your own Gmail or Microsoft 365 inbox, so there is no separate warm-up stack to run.

Cons

  • Not built for high-volume cold email. Our own guidance says a dedicated email tool suits you better above a few hundred sends a day.
  • No lead database of our own. The agents source from LinkedIn only, or you import your own list, and Sales Navigator search URLs do not work.
  • We do not answer replies and we do not book meetings. You send every response.
  • No email warm-up product of our own, no inbox-placement testing and no dedicated IP infrastructure.
  • We send from your own Gmail or Microsoft 365 inbox only. There is no unlimited-mailbox model.
  • We charge per user, so the cost grows with headcount.
  • No in-app dialer. Calls are sequence tasks.

Instantly

A cold email platform with unlimited mailboxes and warm-up, a 450M+ B2B lead database, AI agents and dedicated sending infrastructure, sold as separate outreach, credit and CRM plans or as a bundle.

Best for High-volume cold email with deliverability infrastructure and lead data

Pros

  • Unlimited email accounts and unlimited warm-up on every Outreach plan.
  • A 450M+ B2B lead database with waterfall enrichment and verification, sold as credits.
  • Dedicated server and IP blocks (the SISR system) on the Outreach Light Speed tier and the Agency bundle.
  • Priced per workspace, so adding team members does not carry a published per-seat fee.
  • The cheapest published entry point in this comparison, at $47 per month.
  • AI Sales Agent and AI Reply Agent are part of the product, not an add-on tool.

Cons

  • LinkedIn is not an automated channel. The help centre documents a "Connect" button that opens the prospect's LinkedIn profile.
  • No video feature is documented on the pricing page, the product menu or the help centre.
  • Instantly's privacy policy says it generally stores service information in the United States, on servers located there.
  • The modular plan structure means the real bill is usually outreach plus credits plus CRM, not the headline price.
  • Logging Instantly activity into Salesforce is documented through a third-party connector, OutboundSync.
  • Plans are tiered by email and contact volume, so a team working a short, high-value list pays for a volume tier it will not fill.

Frequently asked questions

Does Vaam work on its own?

Partly, and that is on purpose. The agents run without you. They watch LinkedIn posts and people searches on a schedule, enrich every profile they find, check it against your audience, and add the matches to a sequence that then sends its LinkedIn, email and video steps by itself. What we do not automate is the conversation. When a prospect answers, the sequence pauses and the reply becomes a task for you, with an AI summary and, where the AI judges that the reply needs a person, a suggested response you can copy. You can also switch on Require approval, which holds every prospect for your decision before any outreach starts. Vaam runs the outbound work, and you take the conversations.

What do Vaam agents do that Instantly's AI agents don't?

They source from a different place and they stop at a different point. Instantly's AI Sales Agent selects leads that match the customer profile you configure out of its 450M+ static B2B database, writes email and sends it, and its documentation describes booking meetings and an Autopilot mode in which the agent approves its own activity. Our agents work from live LinkedIn activity instead. An agent watches a LinkedIn people search, a company page's posts or one person's posts, opens each new profile to load their company, role, industry and size, and judges them against the audience you defined, meaning job titles, geography, company size, industries and exclusions, before anyone enters a sequence. With no audience configured, the agent runs without that check. Prospects the check rejects are listed with the reason, and you can overrule the decision. Vaam then stops at the conversation. It does not answer replies and it does not book meetings.

Is Vaam cheaper than Instantly?

It depends on team size and on what you need in the box. Instantly's cheapest published plan is Outreach Growth at $47 per month per workspace ($37.60 on a yearly commitment), but that plan is email sending and warm-up only. The lead database and AI agents sit on a separate credits plan, and the combined Starter bundle is $94 per month ($85 yearly). We charge €99 per user per month, billed monthly with no lock-in, and that price includes LinkedIn, email and personalized video. One workspace price against one per-user price means Instantly gets relatively cheaper as your team grows, and Vaam gets relatively cheaper the fewer, more personalized touches you send. We price in EUR and Instantly prices in USD, so compare totals rather than converting.

Does Instantly do LinkedIn automation?

Not as an automated channel, by its own documentation. Instantly's CRM lists LinkedIn connections among the things you can manage in one place, but the help centre describes the action as clicking a "Connect" button that opens the contact's LinkedIn profile. There is no documented connection-request or LinkedIn-message automation. If LinkedIn is a channel rather than a reference link for you, Instantly is not the tool that runs it.

What can Vaam do that Instantly cannot?

Three things. We run LinkedIn as an automated step in the same sequence as email. We record a video once and personalize it per prospect, delivered through LinkedIn or email with view tracking, where Instantly documents no video feature at all. And we sync two-way with HubSpot, Pipedrive and Upsales natively. Instantly has first-party HubSpot and Pipedrive integrations, but documents Salesforce activity logging through a third-party connector.

What can Instantly do that Vaam cannot?

Volume and deliverability. Instantly gives you unlimited email accounts and unlimited warm-up on every Outreach plan, sends from 5,000 to 500,000 emails a month, and offers inbox placement testing and dedicated server and IP blocks on its higher tiers. It also ships a 450M+ B2B lead database with enrichment and verification, and its AI Sales Agent can book meetings on your calendar. We have none of that. Vaam sends from your own Gmail or Microsoft 365 inbox, publishes no warm-up product, has no lead database of its own, and never books a meeting or answers a reply for you.

Which is better for high-volume cold email?

Instantly, and our own documentation says the same. Vaam states it is not built for high-volume email blasting and that a dedicated email tool is a better fit if you need to send hundreds or thousands of cold emails a day. Instantly is built for exactly that shape: many mailboxes, continuous warm-up and infrastructure that protects sender reputation at scale.

Is there one tool that runs LinkedIn, email and video in the same sequence?

Vaam is built that way. One sequence can mix LinkedIn connection requests and messages, emails from your own inbox, and a video personalized for that prospect, with the whole thing syncing to your CRM. Instantly covers email deeply and treats LinkedIn as a contact record, so running both channels with Instantly means adding a second LinkedIn tool and reconciling two sets of activity.

Where is my prospect data stored with each tool?

We store all customer data within the European Union. Instantly's privacy policy states that the information you provide will likely be processed and maintained in web servers and internal systems located within the United States, and that transfers out of the EU rely on mechanisms such as Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Both are lawful positions. If your security review requires data to stay in the EU, this is a real difference rather than a marketing one.

Do both tools offer a free trial?

Yes, and both without a card. We give you 14 days with no credit card. Instantly's help centre documents a free trial of 250 uploaded contacts and 1,000 emails on Email Outreach, plus 100 trial credits on the Instantly Credits plan.

Can I use Vaam and Instantly together?

Yes, and this is the one pairing in this category that makes sense. The two overlap far less than most. Instantly can carry a high-volume cold email program on its own mailboxes, while Vaam runs the LinkedIn and video motion against your best-fit accounts. The cost is two tools, two sets of activity data and no shared blocklist, so decide first whether your pipeline really needs both a volume play and a personalization play.
