LinkedIn automation → CRM sync
Vaam does not sync the same amount of data to every CRM. HubSpot receives contacts, companies, and every sequence signal — LinkedIn and email alike — as timeline events. Pipedrive receives new prospects, their LinkedIn profile URL, and video activity. Salesforce receives video engagement only, with no LinkedIn or email sequence steps.
"Sync to my CRM" means different things depending on which CRM you mean. Vaam connects natively to HubSpot, Pipedrive, and Salesforce, and each one receives a different slice of what Vaam does. That's worth checking before you assume LinkedIn activity will show up somewhere it doesn't.
HubSpot: the deepest sync
HubSpot gets the full picture. Vaam creates and updates contacts and companies, matching by email, then LinkedIn profile URL, then full name. Beyond the contact record, every meaningful step of a sequence lands as a timeline event. These events include LinkedIn connections requested, accepted, or not accepted; LinkedIn messages sent and received; and emails sent and received. They also include embedded-video engagement, tracked-link clicks, quick form submissions, and sequences started, completed, or canceled. HubSpot data also feeds back into Vaam. Owner and lifecycle-stage rules can block a rep from enrolling a contact that belongs to someone else or sits in a protected stage. See LinkedIn outreach synced to HubSpot for the full setup.
Pipedrive: prospects and video, not full sequence logging
Pipedrive's documented sync covers new prospects, added as Pipedrive people, carrying their LinkedIn profile URL to a field you choose. It also covers video engagement activity against the matching person. It doesn't log each individual LinkedIn message or reply as CRM activity the way HubSpot does. Duplicate matches surface as a manual task rather than an automatic guess. See Sales automation synced to Pipedrive.
Salesforce: video activity only
Salesforce receives the narrowest slice: video opens, views, and conversions, written as an Event on the matching lead. Vaam finds that lead by searching Salesforce for the viewer's email address. LinkedIn connection requests, LinkedIn messages, and sequence emails are not written to Salesforce at all. Prospects don't sync both ways either — Vaam doesn't import Salesforce leads. See LinkedIn automation reporting into Salesforce for the exact limits.
Choosing based on what you need
If the goal is a rep opening the CRM and seeing every LinkedIn touch and reply logged, HubSpot is the integration built for that. If the goal is keeping a Pipedrive pipeline populated with the people Vaam is reaching, the Pipedrive integration covers that. It also shows you when they watch a video, but without HubSpot's deeper activity logging. If Salesforce is your system of record and video engagement is the one signal you need there, that's what the Salesforce integration is scoped to do. Plan on HubSpot or another integration for the LinkedIn and email activity itself.
None of Vaam's CRM integrations bulk-import your existing CRM contact list into Vaam. Each one writes the activity Vaam generates outward. It reads back only the specific fields — owner, lifecycle stage, matching contacts — needed to avoid duplicates and enforce outreach rules.
Frequently asked questions
Which CRM gets my LinkedIn activity, not just video views?
HubSpot. It writes LinkedIn connection requests, acceptances, and messages, plus email sends and replies, as timeline events on the contact — not only video engagement.
Does Pipedrive get my LinkedIn messages and replies?
Vaam's documented Pipedrive sync covers new prospects, their LinkedIn profile URL, and video activity — not individual LinkedIn message or reply logging the way HubSpot does.
Why does Salesforce only get video activity?
That's the current scope of Vaam's Salesforce integration: it reports opens, views, and conversions to a matching lead, and does not write LinkedIn or sequence-email activity.
Can I bulk-import my CRM's existing contacts into Vaam?
No, not automatically. Vaam writes the activity it generates into your CRM; it does not run a standing import of your CRM's contact list. You add prospects to Vaam from LinkedIn or a CSV, and HubSpot import from a list or view is the exception where you explicitly pull contacts in.
